For designer, photographer and entrepreneur, Bhargavii Mani, drawing kolam is a therapeutic process. After years in the intense business world, Bhargavii turned to her childhood chore of creating the South Indian art of kolam, which traditionally uses rice flour to decorate the entrances of homes. As she fell into a once common routine, Bhargavii began to embrace the sense of peace drawing a daily kolam offered her. Soon her hobby became of interest to so many followers who became inspired by her social media posts. Follow Bhargavii at www.kolampodu.com and on Facebook, Instagram, and You Tube to learn more about this beautiful art form that is a common staple in many South Indian households.

Lisa began practicing yoga 25 years ago as a traveling photographer based in NYC looking to find a way to exercise while on the road. She was not only hooked after her first class, but Lisa found that a regular practice kept her strong and agile for a physically demanding job and most importantly made her feel emotionally grounded. After years of practice, in 2006, Lisa received teacher certification in Jivamukti Vinyasa Yoga, and has been teaching for the past 14 years in both group and private settings. She believes in the human capacity to evolve, to grow and to make the world a better place – even if it’s simply through starting with our own revitalized presence.
